The Identity and Access Management (IAM) team is part of Information Security in CG's Information Technology Group. Capital Group is building an integrated cloud platform, built on AWS, that provides features such as a container runtime environment, CI/CD, and observability, with the goal of making it easy for our developers to build great software to power our business.
As an IAM Identity Services Engineer, you will be a contributing member of the IAM Engineering team who will operate and engineer security systems tools for Capital Group and utilize programming, operations, and engineering skills/training to provide a portfolio of security services for the enterprise. You will be responsible for all aspects of security solutions to safeguard access to CG systems, including software development and deployment, configuration for custom and packaged technologies, on-call support, and integrations with cloud (primary) and on-prem solutions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for security, identity in the cloud, and working with others.

- You are an experienced IAM Engineer, with 5+ year experience working with AWS IAM and IGA solutions for an enterprise audience.
- You have experience in technical engineering and operations, both on-prem and in cloud platforms and Identity and Access Management solutions.
- You have experience or training in modern programming languages, such as Terraform, .Net, Python or Java, and have a common understanding of object-oriented design methodologies, patterns, best practices.
- You have exposure or working knowledge of Sailpoint Identity IQ, Okta, Azure EntraID, or related identity providers and IGA solutions.
- You have working knowledge of the software development process as well as solutions design concepts related to security platforms and are passionate about improving the business and ITG user experience.
- You have working knowledge of common network attacks, attack methods, and network defense architectures.
- You have strong communication and collaboration skills and can balance the needs of customers.
- You have excellent leadership and communication skills, and experience in collaborating with diverse set of stakeholders.
Southern California Base Salary Range: $136,858-$218,973
San Antonio Base Salary Range: $112,509-$180,014
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
