Role summary:
As part of the Core Operations department, you will be an active member of the newly formed Europe & Asia Regulatory Reporting team. You will contribute to transforming Capital Group's Europe & Asia regulatory reporting capabilities including ensuring Capital Group delivers on its evolving regulatory commitments. You will work in partnership with the North America Governance & Regulatory Reporting team and take responsibility for production of specific regulatory reporting deliverables.
Primary responsibilities/essential functions:
- Engage directly and help to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, ensuring that regulatory reporting commitments within Europe & Asia are delivered appropriately.
- Support the management and coordination of the delivery of work within the team, anticipating and resolving obstacles and appropriately escalating issues. In addition, take ownership of the production / review of daily and periodic reporting obligations within Europe and Asia.
- Develop and demonstrate subject matter expertise in the assigned area of regulation and provide guidance to other team members and stakeholders.
- Co-ordinate the delivery of assigned regulatory reporting work streams, taking responsibility for the end-to-end process including scheduling, quality control, delivery enhancements, responding to queries and where appropriate supporting the overall report governance and escalation of issues.
- Work in partnership with cross functional teams to identify incremental, near term, opportunities for improving regulatory reporting processes.
- Working with the Core Ops Manager and the Enterprise Change Office, actively contribute to the Europe & Asia regulatory reporting governance process to ensure that regulatory reporting changes are delivered appropriately and escalated through relevant channels if necessary.
- Actively assist in monitoring the external regulatory reporting landscape for Europe and Asia to ensure that existing Regulatory Reports are up to date and partner with internal teams such as Government Relations and Legal and Compliance to understand the regulatory landscape and industry direction.
- Help to build and maintain a central repository, taking responsibility for preparation, maintenance and/ or assertation of the end-to-end processes documentation for all regulatory reporting commitments in scope and those that are actively managed in partnership with teams within the federated reporting model.
- Attend industry forums such as the Investment Association and various trainings as appropriate to understand market practice and regulatory developments.
- Mentor associates across the team and department and promote a collaborative and positive work environment.

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
