As part of the Core Operations department, you will be an active member of the Governance & Regulatory Reporting team focusing on Europe & Asia requirements. You will contribute to transforming Capital Group's Europe & Asia regulatory reporting capabilities including ensuring Capital Group delivers on its evolving regulatory commitments. You will work independently on standardized / recurring assignments with the support of more senior associates and will participate and represent the team in cross departmental and continuous improvement projects.
Primary responsibilities/essential functions:
- Engage directly and help to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, ensuring that regulatory reporting commitments within Europe & Asia are delivered appropriately.
- Be responsible for the production / review of daily and periodic reporting requirements within Europe and Asia.
- Develop and demonstrate technical subject matter expertise in the assigned area of regulation and provide guidance to other team members and stakeholders.
- Lead and co-ordinate the delivery of assigned regulatory reporting work streams, taking responsibility for the end-to-end process including quality control, delivery enhancements, responding to queries and where appropriate supporting the overall report governance and escalation of issues.
- Develop a working knowledge of upstream and downstream processes and systems to enable effective report preparation and review and to enable effective collaboration and issues resolution.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify incremental, near term, opportunities for improving regulatory reporting processes.
- Understand impacts of regulatory requirement changes to the team and to the departments operations and systems and actively participate in working groups or project teams to introduce appropriate solutions. Ensure that existing regulatory reports comply with the changing regulation.
- Help to maintain a central repository, taking responsibility for preparation, maintenance of the end-to-end processes documentation for all assigned regulatory reporting commitments.

- Existing knowledge or strong interest in regulatory frameworks and requirements.
- Ability to promote a collaborative and positive work environment and identifies, recommends, and participates in continuous improvement activities to improve quality, reduce risk, and grow the team's operating effectiveness
- Proficient in excel which includes experience with lookups matching and pivot table functionality. Experience in PowerBI and / or Tableau would be a bonus.
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
