Job Title: Software Engineer II

Location: Cork

Reports to: Distinguished Engineer

Job Overview:

This job is for an R&D position within the SimAI product group. As an investigator of new technologies for the SimAI product, the successful candidate will work on research, new algorithm development, prototyping, and software engineering for productisation. This job requires expertise in data science, math, AI/machine-learning algorithms, combinatorial optimizations, and experience in software engineering in Python and C++.

Job Responsibilities:

  • R&D member of Cadence SimAI product.
  • Innovate new technologies from inception to productization.
  • Develop and productize algorithms for high-performance computation, artificial intelligence, and combinatorial optimization.
  • Tight collaboration with remote teams and external partners.

Job Qualifications:

  • MSc in Software/Computer Engineering (or a BSc plus 2-3 years of equivalent experience)
  • Production software engineering in C++ and Python.
  • Foundation in combinatorial optimization algorithms and maths.
  • Experience on data science and AI technologies is a plus.
  • Independent with an internal drive and self-motivated.
  • Ability to learn and solve interesting and non trivial challenges.
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration and team skills.
