We are seeking a highly motivated, well-qualified software engineer to help develop and maintain build configurations for a large, multi-platform, suite of drug discovery scientific software. The qualified individual will also be working on continuous integration setup, build and test automation, and deployment of the software suite. The ability to work on multiple platforms, troubleshoot complex software systems, multi-task, and write robust software solutions would be key to being successful in this position. The configuration management engineer is also expected to interact and work alongside the scientific developers and key players in the IT group.

The team you will join includes highly skilled software engineers and scientific developers developing solution for drug discovery modeling. We are skilled C++ and Python developers, and experts in code optimization, large-scale software infrastructure development and deployment. Your work will be an integral part of software tools and solutions that help design and discover novel pharmaceutical compounds for human health.

What you should have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 8-10+ years experience developing in modern scientific languages (Python/C++/etc.)
  • Experience with build scripts, build management, and continuous integration
  • Good people/communication skills and ability to work as a part of a team
  • Ability to work under a development schedule, balancing features with delivery

The following area PLUS, but not required:

  • 10-12+ years experience developing in C/C++ and related build systems with CMake
  • Experience with build management of large scale, complex code base
  • Experience with continuous integration software, such as TeamCity
  • Experience with build system software, such as CMake
  • Strong desire and commitment to work closely with customers to ensure a long, successful and positive experience with OpenEye software
