We are seeking a motivated individual looking to grow into a sales leadership role through a player-coach sales position. This Sales Manager role requires carrying both an individual and team sales quota while managing a team of junior sales associates. The ideal candidate will bring value through their enthusiasm and willingness to grow, while helping develop and support our expanding sales team.

You will sell a portfolio of products and services that are applicable to a specific market segment, channel or geographic area. Identifies and anticipates market segment needs that inform new product bundles and offerings, with the goal of growing sales.

-Achieves sales goals through the work of others
-Management responsibilities include performance appraisals, pay reviews, training and development, as well as oversight of sales deals and client relationships
-Job focus is on executing strategy via management of others to impact sales results and achieve business goals

Manages sales employees:
-Is accountable for the performance and results of a team within own discipline
-Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
-Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance from manager
-Provides guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers
-Responsible for attaining sales objectives within a limited business area. Typically responsible for a very limited geographic area or small product line (e.g., one state, province or metropolitan area). May carry own individual quota or contribute to a team quota with own sales efforts.

Functional Knowledge:
-Requires understanding and application of procedures and concepts within own discipline and basic knowledge of other disciplines
Business Expertise:
-Applies understanding of the industry and how own area contributes to the achievement of objectives

Leadership:
-Manages a generally homogeneous team; adapts plans and priorities to meet service and/or operational challenges
-First-level management or supervisory position responsible for managing the sale of the organizations products and services on a geographic, business or market segment basis
Problem Solving:
-Identifies and resolves technical, operational and organizational problems
Impact:
-Impacts the level of service and the team's ability to meet quality, volume, and timeliness objectives
-Guided by policies, resource requirements, budgets and the business plan
Interpersonal Skills:
-Guides, influences and persuades others either internally in other areas or externally with customers

Requirements:
  • 10+ years of sales experience in B2B environments, preferably in fintech SaaS to the alternative asset management segment.
  • Proven track record of success in achieving/exceeding revenue goals/quota in selling software to private markets (hedge funds and private credit firms).
  • Sales leadership experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with an ability to manage client relationships.
  • Proven ability to meet sales targets and manage time effectively.
  • Competent in oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and industry events.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience with sales methodologies or a desire to learn.
  • Comfortable using CRM, Office, social media tools, etc.
  • Self-starter with attention to detail and strong time and territory management skills, and willingness to spend time nurturing sales talent on their team.
Salary Range: $185,000 to $200,000 Base plus Incentives

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
