This role is responsible for ensuring Broadridge's human resources policies and practices adhere to federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The incumbent will partner with the Legal department and other stakeholders as necessary ensuring alignment company goals and objectives.
Critical for program administration, process improvements, and ensuring effective operation of HR compliance programs and processes.
Responsibilities
- Administer the governance framework for global HR policy administration. This includes annual and ad hoc reviews and revisions of existing HR policies to ensure compliance with changing regulations, company needs and industry best practices, as well as the creation of new HR policies as necessary.
- Responsible for communication of policy changes through written (email, HR Connect, policy documents) and/or verbal (HR Community calls, stand-alone meetings). Audiences include associates, managers, HRBPs, HR Solutions, senior leadership
- Oversee all HR compliance audits, ensuring timely and thorough fulfillment of requests, and actively participate when necessary. These audits will encompass various areas within HR Solutions, including HR Operations, Payroll, HRIS, and Knowledge Management, as well as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), compliance, internal, external, client related audits.
- Cultivate strong partnerships with stakeholders and other internal owners of compliance programs to ensure cohesive compliance efforts, identify potential compliance risks, develop mitigation plans, and proactively address issues as needed. This may include Internal Audit, Legal, HR Solutions, HRBPs, Benefits, Global Talent, Total Rewards and other internal stakeholders with compliance obligations.
- Monitor and stay abreast of evolving legal requirements, industry best practices and emerging trends in compliance matters impacting HR, especially (but not limited to) HR Solutions. Partner with Legal and other SME's as needed.
- Acts as the subject matter expert on standard HR compliance operating procedures and HR Policies
- Lead projects as needed, especially as it relates to process improvement projects.

- Bachelor's degree required; professional certifications such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR preferred.
- Minimum of 5 - 7 years of progressive experience in HR roles focusing on compliance and operations
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including SOX, Affirmative Action, EEO, and FMLA.
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing compliance-related projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence key stakeholders.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Technology requirements include Microsoft Office, Service Now, Poppulo, as well as the capacity to learn new technologies as needed (such as AI driven solutions).
