Your Purpose
The Director of Revenue Management at Brightline will play a lead role in accelerating our growth in passengers and revenue by shaping how our products are bought and sold in the marketplace, all toward optimizing our overall financial performance. This position will be responsible for day to day execution of pricing and revenue management of our products, while overseeing a team of revenue management professionals, setting and reaching growth targets.
Work at our Miami headquarters will be tightly focused on optimizing revenue within fare and ancillary revenue pricing structures, dynamic pricing and yielding, demand forecasting, and predictive analytics.
This role will be closely engaged with leaders of departments across the company and will be responsible for nurturing a team of analysts and managers whose day-to-day activities determine the success of our revenue generating programs. Ability to lead, inspire, teach, and motivate the team are critical to success.
Your Role
- Lead by example a team of Pricing and Revenue Management managers and analysts to execute the revenue management strategy, aligning it with the company's commercial objectives and sustainable business model. This includes pricing, yield and inventory management, and revenue analysis
- Analyze trends in fare usage, revenue, and markets. Gain insight from case studies, surveys, and competitive pricing studies to identify promotions
- Drive capacity utilization and revenue optimization by data collection, in-house modeling and robust analysis.
- Eye for identifying need for process improvements and ability to translate into an action plan
- Develops a relationship with other departments to maximize the effectiveness of projects designed to improve revenue performance
- Presents original analysis and strategies to senior management, design departmental business processes, analyze the effects of fare and inventory changes on market performance, and work on ad hoc projects
- Understand and oversees the resources, functions and operations of the Pricing and Revenue Management department with specific focus on driving revenue production through process, systems, and automation enhancement
- Monitor information, evidence, intelligence to inform development of new approaches to problem solving.
- Develop a manager and team of analysts to drive day-to-day revenue production, determine revenue maximizing strategies, and automation opportunities. Evaluate subordinates, instruct, correct deficiencies, reward success
- Utilize strong communication skills, be able to plan and organize well, and be objective when assessing performance and be able to tolerate stressful environments, setting a good example for the team
- Work cross-functionally with Analytics and Decision Science teams on system configuration and enhancements, inventory automation processes, and reporting needs
- Reports key KPIs and progress against initiatives to senior leadership on a regular basis
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience working with revenue management systems, processes, and automation with solid understanding of demand forecasting and optimization
- Hands-on proficiency in operating within revenue management platforms.
- Ability to communicate strategies, performance results, and feedback effectively and transparently to all levels of management.
- Knowledgeable on revenue management systems, demand forecasting and optimization types with a proven track record of delivering continuous improvements
- Thorough understanding of revenue management fundamentals beyond core yield management with experience collaborating between multiple groups to drive revenue production
- Demonstrate consistent deductive skills; strong critical thinking skills
- Eye for identifying need for process improvements and ability to translate into an action plan
- Able to clearly and concisely summarize performance trends or variance to route-level forecasts to all levels of the organization from analysts to executives
- Willingness to relocate to the Miami, FL area or be located nearby for work at our Miami headquarters.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree with a focus in economics, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related discipline.
