Wye River Insurance is a specialized real estate and construction insurance advisory and brokerage with a focus on providing consultative insurance services to real estate owners, operators, developers, property managers, equity partners and lenders, and construction companies and subcontractors of all tiers.
The Director for Commercial Lines Sales will be primarily responsible for producing new Wye River Insurance (WRI) clients and promoting WRI's brokerage and consulting service solutions for commercial lines accounts. As an Insurance Sales Executive Team Leader they will be responsible for new revenue generation and training employees on sales and client executive services. They will help develop a sales and service platform with on-boarding and training tracks. This candidate needs to be proficient with HubSpot, EPIC, and will service a book of business with a junior client executive.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Make prospecting calls to identify business needs and propose company products and services with a focus on commercial lines, subcontractors and operators.
- Cross Sell new business opportunities with Personal Lines. Ability to work with all associates at WRI to engage new clients and prospects.
- Collaborate and works with Account Managers to complete pre-underwriting, information gathering, submissions, coverage analysis, and proposal presentations.
- Obtain information for quotations and market account to various insurance carriers with assistance of support staff.
- Responsible for maintaining excellent relationships with carrier underwriters, assisting the Account Manager and Client Executive with the creation of submissions to the marketplace and negotiating terms and conditions on quotes.
- Review and edit new business and renewal proposals for the Client Executives.
- Make follow up calls on insureds to ensure client satisfaction with insurance program and to assess needs with purpose of marketing all lines of commercial insurance for acquisition of new business as well as the retention of renewals.
- Assist in the analysis of line of business and insurance company production trends and assist with the State of the Market reports.
- Effectively build relationships with insurance company underwriters and insureds through a pattern of professional company visitations, and negotiations. And where appropriate facilitate carrier meetings with insured or prospects.
- Attend loss control surveys for clients.
- Maintain prospects, new, and renewal business in the agency management system and CRM database to allow for proper analysis of trends when gaining or losing business; work with executive management to continually analyze and strengthen areas of opportunity.
What You Bring to Us:
- BA/BS degree in business or marketing preferred or relevant work experience.
- Experience cold calling and getting first appointments with a proven track record of success in high activity sales model with clear examples of results
- Experience with a CRM Database, specifically Salesforce, is highly preferred.
- Must be a good listener and have a strong work ethic.
- Analytical with solution driven problem-solving skills.
- Must be detail-oriented, with the ability to plan, manage and oversee a book of business.
- Demonstrates considerable tact, diplomacy, discretion and judgment with ability to build and maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
Salary Range
$160,000-$175,000 USD
