As the Regional Director for Strategic Partnerships EMEA, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and re-shaping our company's reach within the EMEA region.
In your role, you will be responsible for designing, managing and executing strategies related to Booking.com's third-party distribution, business development, and partnership goals across diverse sectors and geographies. You will lead a dynamic team of over 30 professionals, guiding them to develop and execute demand-oriented partnership strategies across a wide spectrum of industries, including airlines, financial services, price comparison, media companies, and more. The role requires an uncanny ability to manage ambiguous business goals and relationships across a wide array of internal and external senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Partnership Growth and Retention Strategy Development: Lead all aspects of the partnership growth strategy for the EMEA region, including market segmentation, prospecting, account management, and negotiations with key partners.
- Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to the EMEA partnerships team, setting clear goals and expectations, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture, leading by example.
- Business Support: Proactively support the regional business and internal priorities, reporting to the Senior Director, Commercial Partnerships, and aligning partnership strategies with company objectives.
- Key Partner Negotiations: Collaborate with the account management team to assist in closing key partner negotiations, providing commercial, product, and legal/contract expertise to ensure successful partnerships.
- New Partnership Identification and Development: Identify and nurture potential partners based on their alignment with our strategic objectives, suitability, and potential for mutually advantageous collaborations.
- Product Development: Provide relevant priorities and regional product inputs to further partner product development and support services, ensuring alignment with market demands.
- Market Analysis: Continuously monitor, research, and report findings on market developments in the travel industry, providing insights and recommendations to adapt partnership strategies as needed.
- Relationship Management: Maintain successful business relationships with Booking.com's strategic partners and the teams responsible for managing these partnerships.
- Networking: Leverage and invest in expanding your existing professional network and profile for Booking.com within the region, enhancing our brand's visibility and reputation.
- Cross-brand Collaboration: Collaborate with other Booking Holdings brands to align partnership strategies with broader company objectives.
- Team Leadership: Develop, build, manage, and lead multiple teams of regional and area managers, as well as senior account managers, across the EMEA region.
Experience
- Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA appreciated).
- 10+ years relevant business development work experience within e-commerce and top-tier tech companies.
- Deep working knowledge of online advertising ecosystems and performance measurements strongly preferred.
- A proven track record of effective change management, people and team leadership, well versed in organizational designs.
- Well-honed presentation skills, present with comfort and ease to senior audiences internally and externally.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English and at least one other language preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to envision, articulate, and execute a compelling future for the business.
- Ability to manage across teams, geographies, cultures, functions, external organizations and partners.
- Ability to garner support on important local initiatives from HQ in Amsterdam, NL teams.
- Availability to travel up to 50% within the region.
