At Connectivity Professional Services, we are an innovative part of the Connectivity Partnerships team at Booking.com whose mission is to manage the ecosystem of hospitality technology companies and by doing such, deliver cutting-edge solutions to our accommodation partners. These partners develop a range of software from channel management and Property Management Systems to online booking engines and Revenue Management. Our goal is to become the trusted advisor for Booking.com's network of Providers, helping them optimize the experience with Booking.com and achieve unparalleled success.

As a Business Solution Architect, you will play an integral role within Connectivity Professional Services. As a technical and business expert, you will work closely with clients, including global accounts (such as Chains) and premier connectivity partners, to guide them through transformational projects aimed at optimizing accommodations' experience and maximizing business using Booking.com products and services.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and sustain relationships, becoming a trusted advisor for all stakeholders of strategic clients.
  • Support solution engagements, bridging potential connectivity solutions between Booking.com and partner hospitality tech teams.
  • Drive a transparent feedback process from clients and the market to internal stakeholders, helping prioritize technical development based on validated business cases and industry knowledge.
  • Ensure alignment of technical solutions with the overall account strategy, collaborating closely with responsible Commercial Managers.
  • Drive effective decision-making by identifying client needs and motivations, translating them into actionable solutions.
  • Evaluate hospitality tech solutions considering cost, business requirements, technology requirements, and emerging technologies.
  • Shape client solution landscapes to accelerate the adoption of Booking.com's Connectivity Products.
  • Map business challenges to various service offerings and technology solutions.
  • Support clients in optimizing user experiences and achieving improved business outcomes.
  • Enhance Connectivity Partners' technical capabilities via learning paths and architectural workshops.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • MSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT or Consulting, with a focus on pre-sales and post-sales engagements.
  • Strong experience in building or integrating software applications with relevant knowledge of development languages and tools.
  • Proven track record of maintaining data security, integrity, and quality by following industry standards and best practices.
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills to identify patterns and underlying issues in complex situations, applying logical and analytical problem-solving.
  • Extensive experience in professional services; building and optimizing repeatable service offerings and creating standard reusable collateral.
  • Excellent communication skills capable of conveying clear, well-structured, and meaningful information using suitable mediums and language.
  • Proven background in roles such as solution architect, implementation consultant, sales engineer, solution consultant or business solution architect.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms, enterprise APIs, solution architecture within web and mobile environments, and emerging computing trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver technical projects and workshops across multidisciplinary teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of the software development lifecycle, application architecture, and hands-on experience with programming languages and designing architectural diagrams.
  • Ability to create compelling business cases and solve business challenges with innovative technical solutions.
  • Results-driven with a track record of driving projects to successful completion.
  • Availability and willingness to travel internationally up to 40% of the time.
