Sustainable & Institutional Product Strategist
Role
Fundamental Equities (FE) is seeking a Vice President to join the Sustainable Product Strategy team to prioritise, promote and develop Fundamental Equity products and solutions, focusing on Sustainability & Transition, with our institutional client base: Representing FE capabilities commercially and reporting our Sustainable outcomes are key to growing this segment.
This role encompasses all strategies across FE platform and will require an ability to adapt conversations to client needs and be able to talk about a broad range of markets and investment strategies. The successful candidate will need the technical abilities to understand complex Sustainable topics and manipulate sophisticated tools, as well as the commercial instinct to turn those into client-friendly messages.

The role will also involve working with the FE Investment Solutions platform, which is set up to respond to clients and internal stakeholders' requests on customised investment solutions. In this capacity, the successful candidate will need platform knowledge and skilful stakeholder management to best represent FE capabilities in customised solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Institutional EMEA Strategy Lead
- Working with senior FE Product Strategists across our business to develop and drive our Institutional strategy push in EMEA.
- Representing the FE Platform to internal and external Institutional stakeholders in EMEA, to drive market share and business growth across the active FE product suite.
- Leading FE Global Consultant strategy to identify priority FE funds to be rated by key consultants.
- Collaborating with FE PS leads to equip ICB partners to represent FE investment capabilities to their clients, using sustainability as a key differentiator.
- Leading platform efforts using CRM and institutional databases to monitor commercials, drive pipeline conversion, improve product competitive positioning, and inform future product innovation.
Institutional Sustainable Platform Lead
- Leveraging the FE Sustainable platform narrative to develop an Institutional narrative relevant for specific sub-segments and regions.
- Developing reporting best practice to bring Sustainable and Transition attributes to life when communicating to internal and external stakeholders.
- Developing a reporting framework on sustainability and transition engagement to best demonstrate FE's unique engagement abilities.
Platform Solutions
- Contributing to the FE Solutions initiative, developing the governance model.
- Leveraging existing broad solutions framework to develop a Sustainable solutions framework.
- Demonstrating FE investment teams' ability to execute on customisation requests and deploy across Institutional distribution.
- Marketing our sustainable and transition solutions to distribution and clients.
Key Requirements
Knowledge/Experience and Qualifications:
- Educated to degree level essential; CFA preferred
- Extensive experience in a client service/business development role within the investment management industry
- Passion for, and deep knowledge of global equity markets
- Strong knowledge of sustainability and transition
- Thorough understanding of institutional client segments, industry trends and key differences in buying behavior
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong presentation as well as oral and written communications skills
- Strong technical skills in Portfolio management analysis and Sustainability & Transition concepts.
- Presence, maturity and credibility to effectively represent internally and externally, and confidence in engaging with internal and external client base
- Ability to develop strong and trusting relationships
- Strong research, analytical and writing skills to clearly articulate sophisticated concepts, ideas, and processes
- Strong level of self-direction, ownership, organization and initiative; able to work independently to craft business development plans
- Integrity, strong work ethic and professional disposition
- Team-work oriented with proven ability to manage multiple objectives simultaneously.
