Job Duties: Work with other quantitative researchers and portfolio managers to develop innovative investment strategies that can add alpha for our active Systematic Fixed Income products. Deliver high quality research using advanced statistical techniques, contribute to the team's code infrastructure and trading tools, construct and support quantitative investment models. Critique and improve our existing Rates market investment models. Participate in market and quantitative research debate across the RV and Systematic Fixed Income team. Work with the technology developers to ensure quantitative investment models run in a timely fashion.

Qualifications: Master's degree in Financial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics or related quantitative field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or as a Associate, Analyst or related. Employer will accept a 3-year or 4-year Bachelor's degree. Must have two (2) years of experience with: Python; Excel and VBA; and Statistical modelling methods, including Econometric techniques. Must have one (1) year of experience with: Object-Oriented programming and SQL; Systematic investing methods, including Time Series Analysis and Portfolio Optimization; Macroeconomic theory and application to investment problems; and Fixed Income Mathematics. Must have any amount of experience with: Derivatives markets including Option Pricing; Data analysis and Machine Learning methods, including Classification and Decision Trees techniques; and Risk Modelling and Computational Methods, including Monte Carlo simulations and Linear Programming techniques. Experience with the required skills may be gained through graduate-level coursework, internships, or work experience.

For San Francisco, CA Only the salary range for this position is USD$145,900.00 - USD$162,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
