Make Your Mark:

The Senior Product Marketing Manager is a strategic and high-impact individual focused on BlackLIne's Invoice-to-Cash (I2C) business. This role requires a strong understanding of the broader Office of the CFO landscape with deep expertise in I2C. This role serves as a key partner to Product & Technology and GTM teams, driving competitive efforts, go-to-market (GTM) messaging and positioning strategy, and content strategy/development to support demand generation, customer engagement, and sales success. The ideal candidate will have 7-10+ years of experience in B2B SaaS or Office of the CFO related fields with expertise in Invoice-to-Cash processes (including credit, collections, dispute management, and cash application). Understanding of the financial software landscape and a strong ability to collaborate and lead cross-functionally are critical for this role.

You'll Get To:

Develop a thorough understanding of BlackLine's I2C applications, the markets, competitors, top use cases, and client/user business challenges in order to drive:

Commercialization & Product GTM Initiatives

  • Define and execute commercialization strategies for new product launches and enhancements within the Invoice-to-Cash portfolio.
  • Develop clear and compelling messaging and positioning that highlights BlackLine's value proposition for finance and accounting teams.
  • Work closely with Product & Technology, Sales, and GTM teams to ensure alignment on product strategy and market execution.

Competitive Intelligence & Positioning

  • Conduct market and competitive research to inform positioning, messaging, and differentiation strategies.
  • Develop competitive battlecards, positioning frameworks, and win/loss analysis to arm sales teams with insights that drive competitive advantage.
  • Partner with product management to track market trends and ensure BlackLine's offerings align with customer needs and industry shifts.

GTM Messaging, Content & Campaigns

  • Develop core messaging and content for demand generation campaigns, sales enablement, and brand awareness initiatives.
  • Create thought leadership materials, including whitepapers, blog posts, case studies, and webinar/event content, to engage prospects and customers.
  • Ensure messaging is tailored for different market segments (e.g., industry, company size, region, use case) to maximize relevance and impact.

Event & Webinar Strategy

  • Drive messaging strategy for key industry events, trade shows, webinars, and customer summits to position BlackLine as a leader in I2C automation.
  • Partner with field marketing and demand generation teams to develop high-impact presentations, speaker topics, and session content.
  • Support customer advocacy initiatives by identifying and developing compelling customer stories that showcase BlackLine's impact.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership

  • Act as a trusted strategic partner to Product, Sales, and Marketing teams, ensuring alignment on positioning, GTM strategy, and execution.
  • Collaborate closely with demand generation, sales enablement, and partner marketing to ensure messaging is consistently executed across all channels.
  • Provide strategic guidance on market opportunities, competitive threats, and product positioning to influence roadmap and GTM decisions.

What You'll Bring:

Minimum 7-10+ years of experience in B2B SaaS marketing, product marketing, or Office of the CFO related field. Deep expertise in Invoice-to-Cash (I2C) processes is required; strong understanding of the Office of the CFO and financial transformation trends is preferred. Proven track record of developing and executing GTM strategies, messaging, and positioning in a competitive market. Experience conducting competitive intelligence, market research, and win/loss analysis to drive strategic decisions. Exceptional storytelling and communication skills-able to translate complex financial topics into clear, compelling messaging. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities. Experience in financial automation, ERP ecosystems (SAP, Oracle, Workday), or fintech solutions is highly desirable

Salary Range:

USD $188,000.00 - USD $235,000.00

Pay Transparency Statement:

Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.
