About This Role

The Sr Manager, Congress Operations and Digital Health Communications is responsible for coordinating the execution of medical congress activities and managing the day-to-day activities related to the development and dissemination of digital medical scientific content. Key responsibilities include:

  • Congress Activities: Oversee and manage tactics to ensure alignment, consistency, and timely completion of all congress-related activities. Lead medical logistics meetings, maintain internal tools and trackers, manage individual workloads, prioritize tasks, notify the Scientific Communications team of potential risks or concerns, and support appropriate triage.
  • Digital Content: Collaborate with other members of the Scientific Communications team to manage the day-to-day activities associated with development and dissemination of digital medical scientific content, including virtual medical congress booths, and digital content associated with publications. This role may also provide support, as needed, the development of podcasts, videos, website content, webinars, and digital interactives.

Who You Are

You are a “people person” with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You have outstanding organizational skills, including ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently.  You enjoy planning for and attending medical congresses.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience of academic/commercial meeting planning experience.  Pharma/biotech industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel to medical congresses (for ~3-5 days), at least 3-4 times per year.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, independently identify, analyze, and solve problems in a timely manner.
  • High degree of self-motivation and enthusiasm with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, with little to no instruction on routine work and only general guidance on assignments.
