About This Role:
This critical role within the Facilities organization has responsibility for maintaining the entirety of the RTP Bio Site including the interior and exterior of all buildings, structures, leased spaces and all other campus grounds. Responsibilities include remediation of GMP and plant equipment (exterior) cleaning, painting, caulking and rouge remediation. Maintains condition and appearance of facilities and equipment including cleaning of common spaces, landscaping, and facilities maintenance including plumbing and handyman services. Responsible for execution, review, and closure of work orders. This role will work with and provide direction to contractors and participate in and lead multi-functional teams to execute facility maintenance and make improvements on existing processes.

What You'll Do:
- Manage equipment exterior cleaning and remediation to ensure GMP compliance, and documenting and closing associated work orders.
- Review and manage vendor contracts, issue purchase orders and directing contracted staff to meet desired outcomes.
- Management of soft services including oversite of handymen, painting, caulking & drywall repair services.
- Management of plumbing services & building maintenance.
- Management of sustainability programs including trash & recycling programs.
- Management of disaster recovery including water damage remediation.
- Ensures compliance with GMP cleaning and safety procedures and updates documents as needed.
Who You Are:
You are an experienced facilities and site services leader with a passion for maintaining all facility and manufacturing area appearance and upkeep. You understand GMP principles of biologics manufacturing and are able to direct cleaning and maintenance contractors to execute their duties efficiently and compliantly. You are accountable for achieving timelines and quality of work for scheduled and unscheduled work orders. You have excellent communication skills which will involve coordination with area owners and will require frequent internal and external communication. As a representative of the Site Services organization, your role carries the weight of GMP compliance and general appearance of the site. Your commitment lies in delivering quality and timely results and includes the ability to self-direct to ensure efficient results.
Qualifications
Required:
- Associates degree plus 8 years of experience or High School Diploma (or equivalent) plus a minimum of 10 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a biologics drug substance environment.
- Experience onboarding, training and management of contract staff including facility cleaning, plumbing, groundskeeping and other related site services scope.
- Practical knowledge and application of GMP regulations and guidelines including GMP training and change control processes.
- Excellent organization, time management, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work on-site.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, extended coverage support and weekends as needed.
Preferred:
- Solid knowledge of business and manufacturing processes to support manufacturing operations.
