About This Role

The Site Training Lead applies learning expertise and business knowledge to develop and execute against a learning strategy to drive business outcomes at a site operations location. This position will primarily focus on supporting the Parenteral Filling (PF) operations at Biogen’s site in RTP.

It will be imperative to build and sustain relationships with the site leadership team and to serve as a partner to other site functions. You will work closely with the manufacturing leadership team to build a sustainable training program with a primary focus of on-the-job training for manufacturing personnel. To achieve this, you’ll build an understanding of the operating model within the PF, review and analyze training processes, gather data, and develop a program to meet the needs of PF and the wider RTP Pharma site. You will also partner with other training leads to maintain alignment and consistency in development of the site’s training program. Additional responsibilities include supporting the New Hire Onboarding process, and supporting regulatory audits, as needed.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as strategic partner and learning advisor to the site, with a focus on specific factory area needs
  • Develop and implement cGMP compliant training programs according to need, including on-the-job trainings and Train the Trainer programs
  • Assess learning needs and devise flexible, scalable solutions to create demonstrable business impact
  • Measure and report results per established KPIs
  • Work with site leadership team to demonstrate training compliance and ensure effective implementation of training initiatives, all with a focus on cGMP compliance
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and business learning liaisons to manage assignment profiles and curricula while driving consistency across functions, including curricula in GMP

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus a minimum of 5+ years of transferrable experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment
  • Experience administering on-the-job training
  • Thorough knowledge of biotech/pharmaceutical manufacturing processes
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and performance consulting capabilities
  • Demonstrated track record of finding creative solutions via learning & training to achieve positive business outcomes
  • Ability to establish credibility with and influence senior leadership

Preferred Skills

  • Direct experience in manufacturing, drug product/aseptic filling, and in overseeing and training manufacturing personnel highly preferred
  • Experience developing a training program
  • Masters or Doctorate in Business, Learning, Psychology, or a related field

Additional Information

The base salary range for this position is $101,000- 135,000 annually. Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
