As the Senior Manager, Operations Network Strategy, you will join the dynamic Global Engineering and Technical Services Organization, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of Biogen. In this strategic position, you will collaborate in the development of business cases that drive key investment decisions, focusing on new modalities and the long-term objectives they present.
You will be at the forefront of data analysis, employing advanced statistical modeling to deliver valuable insights and visualize data to inform operational strategies. Your financial acumen will enable you to conduct robust financial analyses, emphasizing strategic value and operational expenditure impact. You will also be responsible for ensuring efficient manufacturing capacity utilization and developing end-to-end operational network designs. This is a hybrid role that can be based at our offices either in RTP, NC or Cambridge, MA.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop critical long-range manufacturing strategies and plans, taking into account operational factors and factory capacity limits.
- Consolidate asset long-range demand plans and develop capacity utilization scenarios.
- Create decision trees related to capacity utilization based on investment drivers.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret multifaceted data sets, including production data and cost structures.
- Employ advanced statistical models to evaluate and optimize the manufacturing network..
- Utilize data visualization tools to present findings and provide actionable insights to executive management.
- Develop decision support analytics for network design and supply chain configurations for new products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational strategies with broader organizational goals.
- Communicate strategic objectives to senior leadership and operational teams, ensuring alignment and achievement.
- Lead evaluations across modalities to establish core business competencies and provide competitive advantages.

Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering with at least 7 years of experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or a similarly highly regulated industry. A master’s degree and commensurate experience may also be considered
- Experience in manufacturing operations and strategic planning with engagement in Technology, Development, or Engineering
- Experience with data visualization tools and multi-variable simulation
- Proficiency in financial analysis and ROI assessments
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex problems
- Demonstrated ability to solve ambiguous business problems
- Proven ability to facilitate decision-making among groups with diverse perspectives
- High learning agility and adeptness in information synthesis
- Strong collaborative nature and a proactive approach to business impact
- Aptitude for continuous improvement and innovation
