In our BD IT team, we deliver effective and innovative technologies that help us keep our entire business running daily. We aim to provide BD associates with the tools, systems, insights and protection to do their work efficiently.
About the role
Collaborate with the Global Engineering team's collaborators to develop technology roadmaps and deliver IT initiatives to solve business problems and pursue opportunities.
As the conduit between the business function and our enterprise Technology & Global Services group, you will partner with the functional leadership and collaborators, regional/functional business partners and other TGS towers as required to achieve results and drive strategy.
This individual will be required to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external collaborators and partners to ensure that business priorities are delivered.
The successful candidate will be part of the integrated supply chain (ISC) business partner team within TGS.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Drive alignment of IT capabilities/ strategies with business strategies.
- Facilitate communication between GIE function and TGS teams on technology requirements and roadmaps.
- Identify and promote technology solutions that improve efficiency and support realising business targets.
- Support the delivery of IT projects by ensuring they meet business needs and provide clear value.
About you
The ideal candidate will have a combination of strong business relationship management, strategic understanding, and experience in business and technology. Moreover, outstanding relationship-building skills and a proactive approach are highly regarded.
In addition, this person should also possess:
- Bachelor's degree in business, any engineering field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- 10+ years of deep and progressive experience as a strategic IT Business Partner.
- Experience with manufacturing and supporting product and process engineering organization and familiarity with processes, software tools and applications used in the domain.
- Experience with Product lifecycle management and integrations with R&D, maintenance, and operations functions.
- Experience in implementing and supporting document management systems and controls.
- Basic understanding of CAPEX planning and management processes.
- Experience with vendor management.
- Knowledge of SDLC, application lifecycle management, software licensing, and cloud application in engineering. Experience in Service Now, Autodesk, Hexagon or Engineering DMS systems is desired.
- Proficiency in project management basics: charter, case development, project plan and schedule, communication planning, test planning and management, risk/issue management. Familiarity with various principles and methodologies related to managing organizational change
- Excellent communication skills and ability to coach, influence, and partner with collaborators at all organisational levels.
- Proven experience and a passion for collaboration across teams. Experience working in a highly matrixed organization and in overcoming ambiguity.
