We are hiring a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead Infusion Software Teams primarily located in Vienna (Millennium Tower).

We are offering more flexibility! This position can be either full time or part time based on need and individual agreement.

As Senior Software Engineering Manager you will lead and encourage a high-performing team to successfully implement innovative solutions in the Infusion Enterprise Software sector. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless delivery of software projects from inception to completion across the portfolio.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and develop a high performing medical device SW group based in Austria and Eastern Europe


  • Collaborate with the Head of Vienna R&D andwith other R&D leaders at the Vienna site to harmonize processes around training and career development.


  • Work closely with other BD R&D sites in California, Ireland and India to improve integration of your team into the global MMS R&D organization


  • Be a reliable partner to cross-functional stakeholders of the different product platforms your team supports to define product vision, strategy and roadmap


  • Define processes and communication patterns, support collaboration between the different SW R&D disciplines in your team to maximize efficiency and ensure high-quality code and prevent defects


  • Stay up-to-date with SW industry standards and medical device regulations; apply the knowledge to drive innovation and quality


  • Review and approve critical deliverables that the team is accountable for in their projects; train and support team members to deliver work independently


  • Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring that all expenditures are justified and aligned with company goals


  • Identify and mitigate technical risks impacting the software platform's success


  • Coach and Develop individuals in the team by defining personal development goals and support achieving project related goals


  • Attract and retain talent to support excellent project delivery and future growth, collaborate with other R&D leaders at the Vienna site to harmonize processes around training and career development.


  • Foster a strong engineering culture and act as a role model for inclusive, servant leadership.

About you

We are looking for an experienced leader with a proven track recordof software engineering covering the entire software engineering lifecycle from requirements engineering, software development, verification/validation and documentation in a regulated environment.

You also have:

  • Broad experience in leading diverse software engineering teams and technologies.


  • Deep understanding of software engineering methodologies to deliver high-quality solutions.


  • Experience working globally with distributed teams across cultural boundaries.


  • Consistent track record of leading and launching software products globally, preferably in healthcare.


  • Expertise in Agile development and medical device software engineering processes.


  • Knowledge of healthcare IT, experience with healthcare software development including medical devices


  • Proven ability to drive organizational change and continuous improvement.


  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead and develop high-performing software engineering teams (mid-sized teams of 20+ associates)


  • Strong communication skills and a proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.


  • Strong German and English language proficiency

Theminimumannual gross salary for this positionis €80.000,-(full-time basis). In Based on individual skills and experience, we offerappropriate additionalpayment.
