Duties & Responsibilities
- Technical leader for complex software program(s) and important sub-project(s) with responsibilities for large elements of the product development effort.
- Provide technical leadership, to direct and in-direct reports, with the ability to deep dive into technical issues.
- Lead in the development of project plans and timelines for product delivery. Create Product Development goals which are linked with business priorities and traced to individual engineering responsibilities.
- Accountable in driving decisions between technical teams and with cross functional stakeholders
- Lead technical and design reviews
- Lead technical risk management activities including maintaining technical risk register, driving identification of risk and resolution of those.
- Facilitates team dialogue to identify technical risk, develops mitigation strategies/plans and works to have strategies in place should they be needed.
- Coordinate with R&D functional leaders to develop best-in-class R&D tools, processes & standards within the development platform.
- Drive and lead innovative problem resolution at an accelerated pace.
- Assure technical excellence of the product/project.
- Work in a development environment which supports both organic and inorganic development opportunities.
- Work with cross-functional teams to achieve program goals
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field required. Master's degree or PhD preferred.
- At least 10 years of growing responsibility in R&D technical engineering roles or a PhD in a relevant engineering discipline with 3-5 years of industry experience, with extensive, successful experience in product development and a clear understanding of quality management systems.
- In-depth understanding on design control and regulated product development
- Regulated industry experience (FDA, Automotive, Industrial, etc.)
- Familiarity with software development and agile frameworks. Experience in leading agile software teams and relevant certifications are a plus.
- Experience leading a team of multi-disciplinary engineers.
Additional Skills and Abilities
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills required.
- Strong sense of teamwork and collaboration.
- Demonstrated capability for critical thinking and solutioning.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% (domestic and international).

There are many factors, such as location, that contribute to the range displayed. The salary or hourly rate offered to a successful candidate is based on experience, education, skills, and any step rate pay system of the actual work location, as applicable to the role or position. Salary or hourly pay ranges may vary for Field-based and Remote roles.

$166,500.00 - $274,800.00 USD Annual
