Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise to customers regarding the use of BD products and services
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures performed (incl. QA)
- Maintain complete and accurate records of all activities required by departmental policy/procedures including training and quality assurance
- Demonstrates understanding of the proper handling of equipment, supplies and gases
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations
- Follows Standard Operating Procedures
- Performs preventative maintenance on equipment as outlined in procedure
- Assists with troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Communicates with customer service representatives concerning equipment problems
- Participates in Quality Assurance programs
Qualifications:
- Ability to read, write, and converse in English
- Minimum Required: High School Degree or GED equivalent
- Completion of training program in Central Service / Sterile Processing preferred
- Experience in decontamination process for instruments, surgical case preparation, and endoscope reprocessing
- Understanding of all medical device reprocessing, sterilization, and quality assurance practices
- Knowledge of FDA guidelines for reprocessing of medical devices
- Skill in identifying specialty instrumentation
- Working knowledge of healthcare technology
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer literacy (to include Microsoft Office suite)
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
