In this highly visible role, the Controller provides Financial/Accounting support for the BD DS business, specifically in Quebec, Canada. This includes providing financial support and leadership to Finance and Operations leaders, playing a key role in establishing and achieving financial objectives and formulating and executing Operations strategies.

You will be responsible for maintaining accounting and reporting procedures resulting in accurate product costs and manufacturing performance reporting and ensures product inventories and manufacturing assets are adequately safeguarded and financial reporting. You will occasionally interact with Global Marketing, Research and Development, and other General & Administrative functions. Drives change, as needed, to ensure compliance to GAAP/SOX, reviewing and delivering recommendations for continuous improvement, and clearly communicating relevant fiscal information to executive management.

Responsabilités
Supervise toute la planification, les rapports et l'analyse du coût standard des produits, des écarts de fabrication, des stocks et de leurs composants. Incluant:
- L'élaboration de coûts standards
- L'entretien des immobilisations
- S'assurer que les réserves sont calculées de manière appropriée
- S'assurer que les performances de fabrication sont rapportées avec précision
- Collabore avec les directeurs de fabrication et l'ESC de l'usine pour optimiser les décisions opérationnelles liées aux finances, assurer une rigueur financière/comptable appropriée, introduire une discipline de processus au besoin et protéger les actifs de l'entreprise
- Favorise l'amélioration financière continue grâce au GP Task Force et à BD Excellence, à l'analyse de la marge brute, à l'analyse des stocks, à l'analyse des nouveaux produits et des abandons et à l'analyse des dépenses.
- Veiller à ce que les rapports et les états financiers soient préparés conformément aux politiques financières US GAAP et BD
- Veille à ce que les contrôles financiers soient maintenus et que les exigences de la loi Sarbanes/Oxley soient respectées
- Aide les auditeurs internes et externes dans leur examen périodique des dossiers financiers de BD Diagnostic Systems.
- Est également responsable de la mise en œuvre des recommandations convenues, liées aux domaines de responsabilité, résultant des conclusions de l'audit
- Effectue d'autres tâches et tâches connexes au besoin
Qualifications minimales
Éducation et expérience
- Plus de 7 ans d'expérience pertinente et progressive en comptabilité/finance dans un environnement manufacturier : opérations de fabrication, calcul des coûts des produits, écarts de fabrication et contrôle des stocks, analyse financière et expérience en matière de budgétisation et de prévision requises
- Baccalauréat en comptabilité ou en finance
- Un CPA, un MBA ou un CMA est préférable
L'expérience pratique requise comprend :
- Opérations de fabrication
- Chiffrement des produits
- Écarts de fabrication et le contrôle des stocks
- Analyse financière
- Expérience en matière de budgétisation et de prévisions
- Capacité avérée à diriger et à servir en tant que membre efficace d'une équipe dans une grande organisation, notamment en planifiant, en développant, en organisant, en dirigeant, en gérant et en évaluant le personnel
Connaissances, compétences et aptitudes
- Posséder une expérience démontrant la gestion de niveaux croissants de responsabilité, des partenariats commerciaux réussis à un niveau supérieur et la direction d'équipes interfonctionnelles
- Capacité démontrée à améliorer les contrôles et à influencer les décisions grâce à des connaissances en comptabilité et à une analyse financière basée sur les données
- Doit maîtriser parfaitement Microsoft Excel (tableaux croisés dynamiques, macros, RECHERCHEV, etc.)
- Une expérience ERP est nécessaire ; plus précisément, une expérience SAP est préférable
- Excellentes compétences interpersonnelles, capacité de bien communiquer avec la direction de tous les niveaux
- Connaissance des politiques et des procédures comptables d'entreprise
- Autonome, proactif et recherche l'amélioration continue
- Capacité de travailler de manière indépendante dans un environnement matriciel et stimulant en évolution rapide, avec une grande attention aux détails
- Doit être bien organisé et posséder de bonnes compétences analytiques et interpersonnelles
- Capacité de diriger des projets
- Expérience souhaitée en audit et connaissance des contrôles SOX
