3.Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Services and Data Protection Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable cloud infrastructure solutions across multiple cloud platforms. You will leverage your expertise in cloud services and data protection to ensure the integrity, availability, and security of our data. This position requires a deep understanding of cloud architecture, data protection strategies, and best practices for cloud operations & DevOps processes.
As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce cloud security policies, procedures, and standards. You will also monitor and manage cloud environments, perform regular audits, and respond to security incidents. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to staying current with industry trends and advancements in cloud technologies, data protection and oversee the day-to-day operations of backup systems, ensuring data integrity and availability.
Job Description
- Collaborate with Architect Team: Work closely with the Architect team on new projects and solutions, creating transition support documents and runbooks for implementations and Managed Service Providers.
- Review and Recommend Technologies: Under the guidance of the solution planning and engineering tower lead, review and provide input on recommended infrastructure technologies to meet business needs and align with enterprise strategies.
- Develop Reusable Assets and Frameworks: Create reusable assets and frameworks/patterns that facilitate the adoption and usage of solution blueprints.
- Integrate Core Capabilities with New Technologies: Successfully implement solution development projects and define standards by integrating core capabilities with new technologies.
- Manage Day-to-Day Backup Operations: Oversee the daily operations of backup systems, ensuring data integrity, availability, and adherence to backup policies and procedures.
- System Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Continuously monitor backup systems for performance issues, errors, and potential risks. Perform regular audits and maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
- Disaster Recovery Planning: Collaborate with the disaster recovery team to develop and test backup and recovery plans, ensuring quick and effective data restoration in the event of a system failure or data loss.
- Coordinate Cloud Application Provisioning: Coordinate and develop private and public cloud application provisioning capabilities.
- Identify and Recommend Solutions: Identify alternative solutions, assess feasibility, and recommend new approaches to ensure optimal performance and meet business needs.
- Help to coordinate and develop Private and Public Cloud application provisioning capabilities.
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge
- Demonstrated track record of building and maintaining highly collaborative, flexible, and productive work teams.
- Microsoft Certifications in the Azure Cloud and Backup Technologies
- Experience leading global implementation projects, including project planning and project management skills.
Skills
- This position requires strong business/process analysis skills and the ability to think strategically for longer term, enterprise benefit.
- Maintain a broad knowledge of current industry technologies, methodologies and designs, and their applicability and appropriateness in various solution architectures.
- Ability to be flexible in working hours and represent a global organization
- Requires consistent overlap with US and EMEA working hours.

Educational Background
Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience Information Systems/Computer Science or a related discipline
Professional Experience
8+ years of experience in Cloud and Data Protection to implement and manage robust infrastructure solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of Cloud infrastructure, along with strategies and best practices for both implementation and operations.
The ideal candidate will possess strong business and process analysis skills, enabling them to think strategically and deliver long-term, enterprise-wide benefits. They will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of backup systems, ensuring data integrity and availability, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
