Job Description Summary

The Automation Technician supports all manufacturing processes by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and installing automated
equipment including, but not limited to, robots, PLCs, servo drives, vision systems, conveyors, hoppers, pumps, etc. This position requires
excellent mechanical, electrical and electronic skills as well as good communication, organization and problem solving abilities. The
successful candidate will work closely with other departments within Manufacturing Engineering in order to resolve any problems related to
production.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on all automated equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment within assigned cell.
  • Complete proactive maintenance activities, record and report the results to line team.
  • Coordinate with supervisor to ensure proper inventory levels of parts are maintained.
  • Work with cross functional teams to develop best practices for equipment use.
  • Complete root cause analysis reports.
  • Train others on equipment operation.

Job Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of two years' experience working with automated equipment
  • Excellent mechanical, electrical and electronic skills
  • Knowledge of robotics programming and controls
  • Ability to interpret schematics and understand wiring diagrams
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills both verbally and written
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
