RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with Teradata technology stakeholders and technical partners to design and implement changes, and provide ongoing support for the Teradata application database environment.
- Provide consulting services, support change implementations, and fulfill requests from application and operational support teams.
- Provide on call support for Teradata production environments.
- Create and maintain internal team documentation related to our processes, tools, and problem resolution techniques.
- Support Mainframe administrative functions including archive processing and job scheduling.
- Perform problem analysis and troubleshooting activities requiring advanced working knowledge of Teradata RDBMS at both physical and logical levels.
- Design and develop solutions using Teradata suite of tools including Teradata Studio, TDWM, BTEQ, ARCMAIN, FASTOAD, MLOAD, TPUMP, TPT, DBQL, and PDCR.
- Maintain interfaces between Teradata and Mainframe using TDP, JCL, TSO, ISPF, FICON, and NDM.
- Ensure database health by performing database monitoring and data protection activities using Viewpoint, Teradata Data Mover, and Teradata BAR technology.
- Design and develop scripts to enhance current software systems using Unix/Linux and KSH, BASH, and PERL scripting.
- Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering (any), or related; and
- 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.
- Must include 5 years of experience in each of the following:
- Performing problem analysis and troubleshooting activities requiring advanced working knowledge of Teradata RDBMS at both physical and logical levels;
- Designing and developing solutions using Teradata suite of tools including Teradata Studio, TDWM, BTEQ, ARCMAIN, FASTOAD, MLOAD, TPUMP, TPT, DBQL0, and PDCR;
- Maintaining interfaces between Teradata and Mainframe using TDP, JCL, TSO, ISPF, FICON, and NDM;
- Ensuring database health by performing database monitoring and data protection activities using Viewpoint, Teradata Data Mover, and Teradata BAR technology; and,
