RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop solutions and processes for delivering features based on knowledge of design / architectural patterns and Agile / DevOps practices.
  • Ensure the systems design and requirements are aligned to achieve the desired business outcomes, and that team practices and coding / quality principles are aligned to achieve the desired technology outcomes.
  • Complete multiple software implementations and develop both depth and breadth in a number of technical competencies.
  • Design and develop and is accountable for feature delivery.
  • Apply enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality.
  • Ensure solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt.
  • Develop Enterprise applications using Java Spring Boot framework and REST.
  • Maintain and port legacy Java application code using J2EE framework onto Java Spring architecture, including replacing EJB and SOAP with REST.
  • Build and maintain the Continuous Integration (CI) infrastructure and tools to deliver software releases, leveraging Ansible, Jenkins, XLR, and Bitbucket.
  • Design and implement test automation framework using the Cucumber open source test automation software.
  • Establish and enforce test automation procedures and monitoring to ensure that all code is regularly tested before release.
  • Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering (any), Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related; and
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.
  • Must include 5 years of experience in each of the following:
  • Developing Enterprise applications using Java Spring Boot framework and REST;
