Position Description

As a Product Manager for Corporate Payables, you will work as a part of a team to successfully deliver the Payables product strategy to APAC clients. Your role will include product development and commercialization, driving revenue growth, cost management, risk management, client solutioning, active engagement with key stakeholders including compliance, operations, tech, legal etc.

Responsibilities include:

  • Drive the product development initiatives with technology, operations, and risk partners.
    • Lead the development of the regional strategy and tactics for the vendor payments platform.
    • Collaborate with business partners in GTS including Regional and Global Product Management, Technology, Operations, and the Vendor to develop holistic and use cases for ongoing enhancements.
    • Review high-level and low-level design documents and ensure traceability to business requirements to validate that all business requirements are met in the most effective and efficient methods.
    • Coordinate with Product and Operations to develop appropriate internal and external client communications.
  • Manage product risk in close coordination with Compliance and risk partners. Ensure product documentation is aligned to the risk framework and participate in risk management forums.
  • Active monitoring of regulatory, compliance policy changes and apply guidelines to payment processes and procedures.
  • Work closely with sales and solution teams in structuring client solution
  • Work closely with global product partners to improve product & service capabilities.
  • Analysis of core drivers which include monthly pipeline, implementation, revenue, and volumes to identify key issues impacting the business.
  • Gather market intelligence on changing payment landscape. Identify opportunities and debate ideas to ensure bank's strategy is aligned to market Manage BAU product with product competitor gap analysis, client pricing and P&L analysis and reporting.
  • Develop product-training materials and sales tools.

Required skills:

  • 7+ years, international treasury management experience with good demonstrable knowledge of payments and clearing related products including product development.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Demonstrate initiative, follow-through and the ability to work with limited supervision
  • Ability to learn quickly, core capabilities including end-to-end operational and technology workflows, processes and key business contacts, client buying behavior by different segments and specific global and regional solutions
  • Good at detailed work with strong analytical skills
  • Experienced in managing the delivery of services in a matrixed environment with a diverse portfolio of partners and stakeholders
  • Ability to work across multiple functional teams, across time zones, to set direction, enable sales activities / initiatives, drive and implement change, and solve problems
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Strong in Microsoft Office suite skills, particularly with Word, Excel, PowerPoint; able to put together reports and decks
  • It is expected that the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate strong execution skills and a preparedness to work as part of a team, which may occasionally involve taking on work outside of the above stated responsibilities. This role will likely involve some international travel.
