Process Overview:

The Global Markets NFRR is responsible for the preparation and submission of the NFRR reports on periodic basis and share with the Line of business. Key activities include - Generating the report, Performing and Analyzing data quality checks- Investigate data issues found- Perform manual adjustments if any- Get signoff from relevant stake holders on the report generated- Archival of Submission and Supporting Documentation. Team also partners and support few other functions like Transformation, continuous improvement, and Production Monitoring as horizontals.

Job Description:

As part of the Bank of America Merrill Lynch NTCR Ops, the incumbent will be a part for Global Markets NFRR team in India

The primary responsibility will be monitoring of adherence of Enterprise Data Management - Data USE standard for all NFRR reports. The function enforces controls on the NFRR Inventory metadata, monitor Production Health of the reports and track and report production health breaches and regulatory inquiries. Strong communication and judgement skills with exposure towards Global Markets / Banking products is required. Role has constant interaction with stakeholders and produce high quality data analysis and presentation that will be presented to the regional steerco. Therefore, ability to analyze and interpret data /information provided to identify anomalies, if any and a high level of attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the incumbent will include the following.

  • Responsible for the maintenance of procedures, control documentation, and spreadsheet compliance of reports being prepared by India team
  • Responsible for responding to queries from Business Partners related to reports being prepared
  • Interacting and providing support to regulators and public auditors as needed
  • Supervising for tasks related to regulatory reporting
  • Responsible analyzing current processes, and helping drive process improvements, metrics and technology improvements recommendations
  • Responsible for identifying and mitigating process risks locally and globally.
  • Conducting Quality Assurance activities which may include all controls as defined in the Use standard
  • Ensure changes in laws and regulations are evaluated for impact to relevant reports, plan for implementation of change is developed and tracked.
  • Identify change implementation risks and ensure those are signed off by the respective stakeholders
  • Provide Regulatory Reporting Risk subject matter expertise for Technology & Operations areas
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Operations, Technology, Audit, Compliance and other control groups
  • Enable target state capacity alignment (e.g. Approval Workflow, Archival etc.) as reports are onboard
  • Validate controls implemented are working as expected
  • Assist the Regulatory Reporting Analyst with the review and assessment of reporting processes scheduled to be onboard into the center.
  • Perform current to target state transition documentation and testing for NFRR reports generated through the technology framework and tools.

Foundational skills:

  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively communicate to Executive Leadership and others levels within the Bank
  • Negotiation Skills : - Demonstrated ability to negotiate with senior & junior folks across different groups as operations / compliance / ops risk / regulators and auditors
  • Stake holder management (internal & external) across regions / functions / lines of business: Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholders across different groups as operations / compliance / ops risk / regulators and auditors.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications - PowerPoint, Excel and Word and ability to work on these without any support.
  • Strong analytical and fact-based decision making ability to meaningfully Analyze and report complex data for enterprise and reporting
  • Experience in Auditing or Regulatory Reporting
  • Good Knowledge on Global Markets and different traded products or knowledgeable of consumer products and processes within the bank

Education: Graduation/Post Graduation: MBA in Finance/ Chartered Accountant

Certification If any - CFA, FRM or Any Finance related certifications

Experience Range: Years of experience required is 15 years to 18 years

Location - Gurugram /Mumbai

Shift timings - 12:30 PM to 09:30 PM IST
