Join us!This job is responsible for analyzing credit and investigating existing and prospective clients and counterparts. Key responsibilities include focusing on but not limited to credit, market, and reputational risk; as well as adherence or monitoring of credit risk policies, risk appetite, and reporting, including but not limited to Top of House (TOH) and Line of Business (LOB) specific reports or regulatory related reporting.Responsibilities:Sets or supports the oversight of the ongoing management of risk parameters and guardrails for credit risk while ensuring adherence to risk appetite/limits, and actively inspects and/or designs risk scenarios to implement decisionsSupports the credit approval process and therefore is accountable for overall portfolio performance and asset quality, including underwriting, structuring and monitoring tasksConducts analysis, inspects and/or develops credit risk reporting for specific products, and monitors and reports on key indicators for changes in credit quality to communicate to senior managementEnsures adherence to policy and standards and performs due diligence that the risk is within the bank's defined risk appetite, using knowledge of stress testing and its applicability to credit riskSupports monitoring of adherence to industry risk governance, as well as monitoring for potential operational, reputational and market risk issuesIdentifies risks early that could impact the assigned portfolio and coordinates with business counterparts to resolve portfolio issuesManaging a portfolio of 15 - 20 corporate clients conducting financial analysis, tracking portfolio company performance, assessing ongoing creditworthiness, assisting in the origination, negotiation and structuring of senior bank debt and related credit productsBuild extensive knowledge of clients and in-depth research and industry expertiseWork closely with Risk and Global Banking and Markets, particularly colleagues in Corporate Banking / Relationship Management, Trading (primarily FX and Interest Rate Swaps), Treasury Management and Syndications (investment grade and leveraged finance)Qualitative and quantitative due diligence on industry and company factorsResearching, writing, and presenting financial and industry analysis in support of company specific and portfolio level decisionsEvaluating transaction and relationship risk-adjusted profitability to facilitate the allocation of and return on capitalOn-going monitoring of client's financial performance, industry trends and emerging risksParticipating in the structuring, underwriting and documentation of credit facilities designed to meet both client and investor needs as well as balance the bank's internal risk/return requirementsMonitoring and managing credit exposure associated with the Bank's broad range of products including Loans, Leasing, Foreign Exchange, Derivatives, & Treasury ManagementSupports the credit approval process and therefore is accountable for overall portfolio performance and asset quality, including underwriting, structuring, and monitoring tasksRequired Qualifications7+ years Commercial/Corporate banking risk and/or analysis experienceUnderstanding of basic accountingWorking knowledge of corporate financeStrong business writing skillsDesired Qualifications:Bachelor's DegreeFoundational understanding of legal credit agreementsAbility to coach junior teammatesWorking knowledge of ancillary bank products (treasury, cash management, derivatives)Specific experience within Technology, Media, Telecom & Gaming a bonusSkills:Credit and Risk AssessmentFinancial AccountingIssue ManagementPortfolio AnalysisRisk AnalyticsBusiness IntelligenceInterpret Relevant Laws, Rules, and RegulationsRegulatory ComplianceAttention to DetailCollaborationOral CommunicationsPrioritizationPresentation SkillsProject ManagementWritten Communications Shift:1st shift (United States of America)Hours Per Week: 40
