Position Summary:

  • Bank of America ("BofA") is seeking an experienced GIS Professional to join its Houston A&D Energy group. The BofA A&D team covers Oil & Gas across Upstream, Midstream and Oil Field Services.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive working experience / knowledge of ArcGIS.
  • Comfortable with high pace environment and attention to detail.
  • Team player.

Responsibilities:

  • GIS professionals are responsible for discovering patterns and trends through spatial mapping, developing mapping applications and tools, and creating & managing a digital library of geographic maps.
  • GIS professionals will need to create presentation quality maps (acreage, wells, performance, infrastructure, etc.).
  • Analyzing spatial data through the use of mapping software and identify patterns and trends.
  • Designing digital maps with geographic data and other data sources.
  • Creating "shapefiles" to merge topographical data with external data by layering external data over a topographical map.
  • Converting physical maps into a digital form for computer usage.
  • Managing a digital library of geographic maps in various file types.
  • This role is expected to be in the Houston office at least 5 days per week.
