Position Overview
The Operations Vendor Lead plays a crucial role in managing vendor relationships and ensuring that day-to-day operational processes run smoothly. This position involves monitoring vendor performance, fostering effective communication, and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual agreements
- Motivate and inspire team members and vendors
- Make informed decisions quickly, especially in high-pressure situations
- Convey expectations, feedback, and instructions clearly to vendors and internal teams
- Understand vendor concerns and feedback, fostering open dialogue
- Use data analysis to inform decisions, track performance, and identify areas for improvement
- Approach challenges with a systematic and logical mindset
- Negotiate favourable terms and conditions while maintaining positive relationships
- Address customer-related vendor issues promptly and efficiently
- Recognize potential risks in vendor operations and develop mitigation plans
- Ensure vendors comply with legal and regulatory requirements
- Work effectively with various departments, such as finance, procurement, and quality assurance

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree: Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field
- Experience: Minimum five years of experience in vendor management or operations
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the specific industry is advantageous, as it helps in understanding vendor dynamics and market trends
