Position Overview
The Partner Sales Manager will recruit industry partners and manage all types of channel partners, driving sales of Autodesk products and services to ensure that sales goals are exceeded. He/she will be responsible for the overall relationship and manage all points of contact to ensure that these channel partners fully understand Autodesk's strategies and solutions for developing long-standing relationships. The role also involves building a joint go-to-market model covering all the standard areas of channel partner management.
Responsibilities
- The primary responsibility of this role is to recruit new industry partners and drive overall regional sales through all types of channel partners, ensuring sales targets are exceeded, including volume products
- Support large/key volume opportunities and customer-facing activities as needed within the assigned territory
- Act as the primary liaison between channel partners and Autodesk. The individual should establish solid working relationships internally with all the required stakeholder functions (e.g., Sales, TS, Renewal, Marketing, Service, Operational teams, etc.)
- Lead the setting of channel partner strategy, account/territory plans, go-to-market plans, resource/investment plans, and revenue forecasting. Actively manage channel partner opportunities, monitor and react to year-to-date revenue, report on any significant trends, and provide business updates through regular Quarterly Business Reviews at senior levels
- Lead key relationships with members of the channel partner team, ensuring appropriate executive mappings are in place. Spend the majority of time with channel partners to become an integral part of their team and business. Execute aligned plans and support them in strategic transformation, positioning them as partners with unique core values on the customer's side
- Clearly articulate Autodesk's strategy and drive certification initiatives in support of Autodesk's strategic growth. This includes providing Autodesk products, solutions, and services training and driving channel partner capabilities through certification

Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of channel management experience and 5 years of sales experience in an IT vendor environment
- Self-motivated with the ability to influence strategy and execute without direct supervision
- Working knowledge and/or experience selling technology solutions to channel partners
- Ability to develop strong relationships at the board level and negotiate with channel partners of varying types, levels, and technical understanding
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to describe market transitions and develop and lead/influence local and virtual teams
- Strong business acumen, time management, organizational, and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and flexible marketplace
- Travel is required
