Responsibilities:

Design and implement computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks. Develop and drive long-term networking strategy in the public cloud. Automate networking related tasks and build self-service tools. Develop an enterprise scale SASE solution. Run and maintain the network - debug, troubleshoot, tune, support. Participate in organizational objective planning sessions. Manage relationships with third party vendors. Cross-train and mentor teammates. Design, implement, and maintain automation scripts and tools for provisioning, configuring, and managing network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN gateways. Utilize infrastructure as code (IaC) principles to automate network configuration and deployment processes, using tools like Ansible, Python, and Bash. Set up comprehensive monitoring solutions to track network performance, availability, and security metrics. Configure alerting mechanisms to promptly notify relevant stakeholders of network anomalies, performance degradation, or security incidents. Work closely with development teams to understand application requirements and optimize network infrastructure to support application deployment, scalability, and performance. Collaborate with operations teams to streamline deployment processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the overall reliability of network services. Document network configurations, procedures, automation workflows, and best practices to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base and continuous learning and knowledge sharing. Identify optimization opportunities to improve network efficiency, security, throughput, and latency, leveraging technologies, and integrations such as SASE, Bastion, Teams and Zoom Integrations and Marvis Mins. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. Telecommuting is permitted.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a network engineer-related occupation. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. Telecommuting is permitted.

Skill Requirements:

Position requires at least 7 years of experience in each of the following skills:

  • Utilize knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies to effectively support customer queries, ensuring timely responses and optimal outcomes.
  • Experience in Risk Assessment, Disaster Recovery, Capacity planning, security, and best practices to organizations to navigate complex challenges, mitigate risks, and achieve their strategic objectives with confidence and resilience.
  • Utilize experience with Infrastructure automation proficiency (Bash, Python, Ansible, Git, Docker etc) to streamline and enhance various aspects of IT operations, including, VMware Management, Security Hardening, API Integrations, Patching, and Software Deployments.
  • Utilize experience with leading Unix, Security, Nutanix, Spacewalk, Satellite, local mirror Patch management, VMware, AZURE, and AWS Cloud technologies to deliver comprehensive solutions in diverse IT environments.
  • Utilize experience with Automate deployment process, configuring tools, monitoring performance metrics, and creating insightful dashboards, seamless operation, and optimization of applications and services.
  • Utilize experience with collaborating with architects and technical product managers to translate product requirements into well-designed and distributed software components.
  • Utilize experience in measuring and optimizing system performance to push the boundaries of our capabilities, anticipating customer needs, and driving innovation for continual improvement.

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $173,628 - $195,000/year. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
