ATS Scientific Products is searching for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join the team!
The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for creating a strategic sourcing strategy for ATS Life Sciences Scientific Products. This will involve selecting best cost / strategic sources of supply for our purchased components. They will negotiate master supply agreements, MOU/LOU, contracts, and possibly blanket orders for their division. To ensure adherence to the negotiated agreements, the Strategic Sourcing Manager will setup the appropriate plant ERPs systems. Finally, the Strategic Sourcing Manager will manage their supply base's performance against the agreed terms, but also their delivery and quality performance. This position may also periodically be responsible for assisting in general responsibilities in the tactical purchasing department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Supplier evaluation and selection, including negotiating the terms and conditions of our business.
- Sourcing new vendors by category and reviewing with management
- Supplier management and auditing - Quarterly reviews on top vendors
- Supplier ownership of taxonomy
- Annual cost reduction execution meeting annual goals
- Work with engineering to actively reduce SKUs / complexity in support of best cost solutions
- Autonomous decision making within approval guidelines
- Assist leadership in the development of process and policy
- Communication and integration with related functional areas.
- Work with engineers and suppliers to establish commercially acceptable drawing standards.
- Maintain purchasing item attributes, such as lead times, lot sizes, prices, in the various ERPs assigned to the division.(Multi-Plant)
- Assist with general responsibilities within the tactical purchasing department.
- Liaise with engineering to ensure appropriate standards are used in material requirements.

TALENTS and/or EXPERIENCE
- 6-10+ years of purchasing or related materials experience.
- Track record of negotiating supply annual agreements, managing at least $10M of spend.
- Excellent proactive communication & organization skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, meet deadlines and follow through.
- Best cost evaluation and analysis of supplier spend and consolidation ability.
- Good judgment in choosing from multiple options and courses of conduct.
- Ability to manage multiple conflicting tasks in a dynamic environment.
- High degree of accuracy and detail.
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to manage multiple conflicting tasks in a dynamic environment.
- MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and some Access is preferred
- Various ERP systems and Internet use skills.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, and REGISTRATIONS
- BA or 10-15 years of relevant job experience
- MBA Preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work is normally performed in both a typical interior/office and production floor work environment.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and is frequently is required to stand; use both hands; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Travel will be required about 20-30% of the time between multiple ATS LS SP sites and suppliers.
