  • To effectively and efficiently manage ASML's tax and customs compliance obligations and risks via policies and a comprehensive control framework and,
  • To adhere to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism, respecting our colleagues, customers, regulatory authorities, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

  • Role and responsibilities:

    The US Senior Tax Specialist will be located in the Chandler Arizona office and will report to the US Tax Senior Expertise Manager. The position will be responsible for ensuring compliance and technically sound tax positions. Other responsibilities include:
    • Research and provide guidance on corporate income tax, withholding tax, and other tax types
    • Act as the face of the Tax & Customs teams towards defined stakeholders
    • Participation in cross-sector projects
    • Engage with internal and external stakeholders as well as other Tax and Customs team members to identify tax-relevant topics and provide solutions
    • Work with the Tax and Customs expertise teams to ensure relevant priorities are addressed
    • Assist central US compliance (tax and finance) teams in gathering and analyzing required forms and disclosures
    • Assist in managing US income tax audits, tax inquiries, and tax notices
    • Some travel required (5-15%)

    Education and experience:
    • Bachelor degree in law, accounting, finance, or other business discipline (or equivalent experience)
    • Relevant master's degree, CPA, and/or attorney preferred
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in US corporate income tax, (some experience in transfer pricing, wage tax, and sales/use tax is helpful but not required).

    • Have excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate tax matters to stakeholders at their level of understanding.
    • Be able to work independently, while also knowing when to elevate relevant matters
    • Possess strong analytical, time management, prioritization, and relationship building, and problem solving attributes
    • Be goal oriented, both with team and individual goals
    • Enjoy improving strong technical and businessknowledge

    This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
