Job Description

We are seeking a Vice President and Assistant General Counsel to serve as chief privacy, data security and IT counsel in the Legal Department at Aramark's headquarters in Philadelphia. This attorney will report to Aramark's Senior Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Secretary and will lead the privacy, data security and IT legal team.

Job Responsibilities

? Manage and collaborate with attorneys and other legal and compliance professionals working on privacy, data security and IT legal matters. Provide professional development and growth opportunities and promote employee engagement related to privacy protocols, data security best practices and IT contracting.
? Ensure implementation of an efficient contracting process and other systems to interface between the IT group, Aramark?s businesses, and the privacy, data security and IT legal team.

? Draft and negotiate technology contracts, including cloud computing agreements, software licenses, data protection agreements, and other IT contracts and vendor agreements.
? Provide legal support on cybersecurity and incident response investigations to Aramark?s Chief Information Officer, Chief Information Security Officer and Cyber Security Incident Response Team.
? Provide legal support to business units and corporate functions on all aspects of global privacy and security requirements, including consumer privacy, PCI-DSS compliance and other industry standards, international and inter-affiliate transfers of personal data, CCPA and other state privacy law compliance, GDPR compliance, "big data" use, marketing, records retention and data protection, and mobile privacy.
? Review and draft language for RFPs, contracts and other legal documents related to privacy and data security requirements; negotiate arrangements related to the use and collection of personal information.
? Review corporate initiatives involving international and inter-affiliate transfers of personal data to ensure compliance with applicable law.
? Assess and monitor organizational risk; create policies, procedures and training to promote awareness of privacy, security and records management requirements.
? Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver a comprehensive approach for Information Governance.

Qualifications

? Educational background: Excellent academic credentials, including a J.D., current Pennsylvania bar admission or admission in another jurisdiction with the ability to become licensed to practice in Pennsylvania.
? Experience: Seven or more years of experience practicing law in a major law firm or a sophisticated corporate law department. Experience in privacy related laws and regulations and IT contracts preferred.
? Characteristics: Seasoned and effective lawyer with a high degree of executive presence and excellent client service skills. Ability to exercise strong and effective judgment to produce creative and constructive solutions in tight time frames as a business partner to clients and ability to influence decisions through informal authority and interactions. Exhibits business acumen and shows a strong work ethic. Adaptable with a willingness to learn in short order about emerging technologies including Artificial Intelligence, IT infrastructure, information security forensics, payment card processing systems and IT governance and controls.
? Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, sound judgment, strong interpersonal skills, client-service skills consistent with the highest professional standards and professional and personal ethics and integrity.

This is a great opportunity to play a key role in a pre-eminent legal department leading a high performing privacy, data security and IT legal team contributing to the growth and technological advancement of Aramark. You will serve as the trusted advisor to the Company?s Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer as they drive Aramark?s technology agenda and serve as a thought leader in connection with Aramark?s adoption of AI and other emerging technologies.
