Job Description

The Storeroom Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the storeroom, ensuring accurate inventory control, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Job Responsibilities

Inventory Management

  • Conduct regular physical inventories to verify accuracy and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Implement and maintain an efficient inventory tracking system.
  • Manage stock levels to avoid shortages or excesses.
  • Coordinate with purchasing department to ensure timely replenishment of inventory.

Storeroom Operations

  • Supervise storeroom staff, including assigning tasks, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Develop and implement procedures for receiving, storing, and issuing materials.
  • Maintain a clean and organized storeroom environment.

Safety and Compliance

  • Adhere to all safety regulations and policies.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazard.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Cost Control

  • Monitor and control storeroom expenses, including waste and pilferage.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and implement strategies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 (three) years of experience in storeroom management or a similar role.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related field preferred.
