Job Description
The Senior Accountant is responsible for a variety of Avendra accounting functions, with an emphasis on revenue recognition. This position is open for flexible combination of onsite/Work from home arrangements.
Position Reports to Accounting Manager, Revenue Recognition
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for certain month and year-end closing procedures to ensure accuracy of Avendra financial statements; in particular, maintaining the Revenue Subledger
- Prepare and maintain related tracking schedules and standard revenue financial reports
- Responsible for monthly revenue transactions in the GL and Revenue Subledger, including calculating estimates to accrue
- Prepare asset and liability balance sheet reconciliations and roll-forward schedules, to include recommending and preparing adjusting journal entries
- Interact with internal staff to resolve issues or identify potential revenue adjustments, accruals and general variance explanations
- Prepare month end revenue analysis, and quarterly marketing allowance payments and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze customer and founder true-up reports for distributions and prepare related reconciliations
- Prepare and calculate commission calculations
- Prepare schedules for the annual financial audit, SOC-1 and SOX, to include interacting and providing explanations to audit inquiries
- Prepare annual schedules and reconciliations for the G/L adjustment regarding Customer accruals vs true-up distribution variances
- Prepare monthly revenue journal entry and reconcile the ledger components
- Prepare monthly revenue reporting
- Prepare monthly revenue tax allocations for designated states

Secondary Responsibilities
- Prepare other distributions to customers
- Review contract terms and conditions to determine appropriate revenue recognition
- Prepare periodic manual billings
- Assist with A/P vendor additions/updates in Navision
- Perform general ledger special projects, as requested
- Perform research and work on special projects, as requested

Qualifications
? 5+ years of experience
? BS/BA in relevant field required Accounting Major preferred, must be eligible for the CPA exam at a minimum.
? CPA certification preferred.
? Experience with Microsoft Office
? Experience with ERP financial software package
? Strong written and oral communication, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
? Perform research and work on special projects, as requested

COMPENSATION: The salary rate for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000, depending on circumstances including an applicant's skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). This is Aramark's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.
