Job Description

The sales strategy manager will work closely with their supervisor and line of business solutions team responsible for the development of dashboards and reports encompassing key financial and operational metrics using Excel, Power BI, the Microsoft Power platform, Azure cloud resources, and other reporting tools. This position will possess a leadership role in the development, testing, deployment, and management of business analytics solutions that provide actionable insights to our business development directors and provide a competitive advantage during new business pursuits.

During the onboarding transition period for new business awarded to Aramark this position will lead the due diligence initiative overseeing the collection, analysis, and application of customer data to inform stakeholders for strategic decision-making and operational improvements. During this process the manager will work closely with internal operations, finance, and field support teams as well as client stakeholders to translate data-driven insights into actionable recommendations, ensuring that the operation is successfully integrated into Aramark?s portfolio and program.

The ability to navigate within cross-functional environments will be a crucial success element for this role. Effective collaboration with IT, operations, sales, finance, additional departments as needed, and client stakeholders to determine solutions for various initiatives will be a foundational responsibility. In addition, extensive capability surrounding data analysis and the interpretation/creation of robust financial material and reporting will be integral to the success of this role.

Job Responsibilities

Data Management, Analysis, and Architecture

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for key financial and operational metrics using Excel, Power BI, Microsoft Power platform, Azure cloud resources, and other tools
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and application of client data during new business onboarding to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements
  • Seamlessly extract, consolidate, and compile data from Excel Workbooks, SQL Servers, Oracle, and other data sources
  • Manage databases and review existing data structure identifying enhancement opportunities for ETL processes and data model relationships
  • Utilize Power BI and Microsoft Fabric platform to create, manage, and edit existing dataflows, data models, data lakes, SQL Warehouses, and associated reports
  • Blending ERP datasets with data from external sources (RFP material) for comparison, analysis, and reporting
  • Creation of ad hoc analysis, processes/applications, and reporting as requested from leadership

Client and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Lead onboarding due diligence process for new business awarded to Aramark, ensuring successful integration of all client facilities into Aramark?s portfolio and program
  • Present insights, recommendations, and strategic plans to clients and internal teams, facilitating informed decision-making
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including client procurement and project management teams as well as Aramark operations and field support teams
  • Work closely with internal operations, finance, field support teams, and client stakeholders to translate data-driven insights into actionable recommendations
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to ensure alignment on operational strategy and optimization by presenting customer data insights
  • Assist with construction of client facing presentations outlining Aramark?s value proposition during new business pursuits

Finance

  • Analyze and organize financial data for accurate and timely financial reporting overseeing the construction of glandular budgets and forecasts for associated client and Aramark stakeholders
  • Prepare relevant and accurate information composing financial summaries for internal Aramark reviews and implement any feedback for client facing meetings and presentations
  • Discuss, research, and resolve any financial issues or discrepancies pertaining to an accounts underlying contract with Aramark and client stakeholders
  • When onboarding accounts track financial impact of any material changes from the underlying contract and update internal Aramark stakeholders and clientele on a reoccurring basis
  • Create and manage robust financial reporting tools to ensure data accuracy for financial decision-making.
  • Align financial insights with strategic goals to help achieve company financial and growth targets
  • Quickly interpret request for proposal exhibits encompassing financial data and documentation
  • Creation of ad hoc analysis and reports as needed

Business Strategy and Solution Development

  • Take a leadership role in the development, testing, deployment, and management of business analytics solutions
  • Navigate cross-functional environments by collaborating with IT, operations, sales, finance, and other departments to determine solutions for various initiatives
  • Continuously Identify opportunities to enhance business reporting tools and strategies
  • Support strategic business objectives by aligning analytics with broader operational/business development goals

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor?s degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Economics, Information Technology, or a related field, is preferred, although equivalent experience will be considered

Experience
Minimum 3 years of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) experience required Profit and Loss (P&L) management is preferred

Experience in PowerBI, QlikView, Tableau or similar reporting and BI tools required

Experience with SQL, data modeling, and database management required

Experience with ERP system required Oracle preferred

Experience working within cross-functional environments required

Experience adhering to generally accepted accounting practices (GAAP) and observing all financial controls and best practices required

Skills & Qualifications

Strong analytical skills with expertise in data collection, analysis, and interpretation

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex insights in a clear and compelling manner

Ability to diagnose current state then propose and drive process improvement

Strong oral and written communication and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering results

Demonstrate initiative, organizational skills, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Working Conditions

This is a remote opportunity but up to 25% travel.
