We are currently seeking a Safety and Pest Management Specialist for Aramark supporting our Yosemite National Park Operations. The Safety and Pest Management Specialist will coordinate and support occupational safety programs as well as lead the Integrated Pest Management program within the park. Continual coaching of location management teams and staff is a main function within this role.?

COMPENSATION: The hourly rate for this position ranges from $21.00 to $23.00, depending on circumstances including an applicant?s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

If hired, employee will be in an ?at-will position? and Aramark reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time AND FOR ANY REASON, including, BUT NOT LIMITED TO for reasons related to individual performance, Aramark or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Job Responsibilities

? Full understanding of the Yosemite National Park concessions contract, particularly all plans associated with required management systems. Including but not limited to, Occupational Safety and Pest management.
? Supports the Senior Safety Specialist in Pest Management functions within the park which includes regular exclusion opportunity inspections and serving as the main point of contact with Yosemite Hospitality?s pest vendor
? Ability to work closely with Location General Managers, Site Management, and the National Park Service to review, implement and enforce Aramark's SAFE Policy.
? Maintain working relationship with local and regional compliance and regulatory authorities (Local / County / US Public Health, etc.).
? Accompany Health Department / Regulatory Inspectors during on-site inspections and respond to regulatory non-compliance and to the best of ability - mitigate or limit any future inspection violations.
? Effectively manage internal and external corrective action processes to comply with regulatory requirements to identify cause, address problems, restore control, evaluate, and monitor processes, modify procedures, or improve the overall safety system approach, and prevent recurrences. This is inclusive of support for infectious disease protocols as it relates to Hantavirus, Plague, etc.
? Conduct internal occupational safety and injury investigation follow up with corrective actions resulting from assessments by external agencies.
? Coordinate and Support Yosemite Safety Meeting / Committee Structure.
? Support the on-site operations team in the implementation of the site-level management systems and lead team supporting those systems and associated action plans.
? Support the development and implementation of additional safety, risk, and pest management within Yosemite National Park
? Support development, execution and deployment of appropriate tools and training within the Park with support and operational teams.
? Assist the Senior Safety Specialist to ensure the location has the current Aramark safety standards and procedure documentation in place and verify the implementation and execution of Aramark safety standards and procedures.
? Help to coach and lead staff of each supported site-level team to provide the highest levels of Guest Experience and Quality Control of processes.
? Assist supported locations, site-based management teams to effectively execute against safety standards and requirements.
? Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

? Bachelor's degree preferred.? Degree(s) related to environmental policy, environmental health, and safety, and /or business strongly preferred.
? 1+ years of occupational safety and/ or pest management experience strongly preferred.
? Flexibility to work within a dynamic work environment and a matrix style reporting structure
? Proven leadership skills, strong interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate and build relationships, and ability to lead without formal authority are required.
? Strong Coaching, Influencing & Negotiating skills. - Comfortable in providing training and coaching to management and hourly employees.
? Effective oral and written communication skills (including public speaking) required.
? Excellent attention to detail, demonstrated time management skills, ability to self-manage
? Ability to proactively assess location pest and occupational needs, assist in finding solutions to needs in conjunction with operational team
? Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams
? Must be willing to work event-based hours - including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
? Ability to lift 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
