Job Description
Support all meetings and events for the General Motors Technical Center Warren campus. The Event Coordinator facilitates the planning, preparation, set-up/take-down and clean-up of event spaces. Including the installation and set-up of chairs, tables, displays, audio/visual equipment, signage, etc. The Event Coordinator engages GM staff specialists and Aramark support staff to complete this work per the requestors? instructions and GM standards. The Event Coordinator generates, and tracks work orders required for each meeting or event. The Event Coordinator works closely with the Community Keepers, General Helpers, Audio Visual Technicians, Safety and Dock teams to scheduling and assure seamless execution of the work.

Job Responsibilities
- Reserve rooms in Outlook for meeting and event requests from internal GM client.
- Types of meetings and events include Town Hall?s, Ride & Drives, Supplier Tech Shows, Training, Video Shoots, and Executive meetings.
- Send weekly confirmation to stakeholders.
- Schedule Corrigo work orders to support upcoming events, following up with email communication.
- Participate in weekly meeting and events meeting.
- Monitor online event request forms in SharePoint and update accordingly.
- Coordinate all aspects of assigned bookings to include, but not limited to, AV needs, Room Set-ups, Meeting Materials (safety information and campus maps) Parking Needs, etc.
- Inspect status of meeting or classroom set-ups.
- During room inspection, notify the appropriate departments for items, which may be missing from set-up instructions. Example: tables, chairs, A/V, electrical, etc. Ensure that all items are followed up on.
- Coordinate reconfigurations and changes to all meeting rooms with the appropriate operating department.
- Represent ARAMARK and the Event Department in such a manner as to enhance their reputation.
- Maintain a high level of morale and cooperation.
- Use good judgment, common sense, and fairness in decisions with all team members.
- Up to and including any additional assigned duties.
Qualifications
- Bachelor?s degree in hospitality, Recreation Parks and Leisure Services or another related field preferred.
- The ideal candidate will have previous event planning experience of at least 3-5 years.
- Must have strong time management skills, customer service, and attention to detail and be able to perform various tasks simultaneously.
- Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively deal with clients.
- Must work well independently and as a team member.
- Computer skills necessary.
- Requires a working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams and Excel, basic computer skills.
