We are seeking a Director of Catering Sales for the Aramark operation at the Richmond Convention Center, Richmond VA.
This is a management position, responsible for developing and executing catering solutions to meet customer needs and facilitates the delivery of prepared food created from an event-specific work order or in a room service environment.

Job Responsibilities
- The Director of Catering Sales will maintain corporate and social catering accounts to meet or exceed budgeted revenue goals.
- Maintain and develop current client relationships, respond to customer inquiries, develop proposals and contracts, recognize opportunities to maximize revenue opportunities by up selling and offering enhancements to exceed client.
- Work with event planners on property to manage the event?s entire experience and make outside calls to generate new catering business.
- Specific to the property are opportunities to support large returning events as well as one-time opportunities.
- Good Communication and project management skills.
- Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure, while handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Attention to detail, organized, excellent time management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities.
- Comfortable making decisions and negotiating.
- Maintaining and developing current client relationships.
- Responding to customer inquiries - Developing proposals and contracts
Qualifications
? Bachelor's Degree preferred.
? 5 or more years in hospitality industry, with experience in catering or banquets preferred.
? Experience in a major convention hotel or large social market preferred.
? Good organizational and presentation skills.
? Ability to effectively communicate with diverse clients and staff.
? A demonstrated understanding of the sales process.
? Knowledge of menu planning and food presentation.
? Skilled in banquet and event service operations.
? Ability to balance multiple tasks while being creative and having a proactive approach to sales.
Candidates must be willing to work an event based schedule which may include nights, weekends and holidays as necessary.
