Aptiv's Strategic Semiconductors team reports into the Chief Technology Officer's (CTO) office and is responsible for building Aptiv's Semiconductor Strategy and driving its execution to impact all of Aptiv products globally including Autonomous Driving, ADAS, Infotainment, Zonal Control, and others.
As the Senior Manager, China Semiconductor Strategy within our Strategic Semiconductors team, you will lead the charge in shaping our technological future by driving the China semiconductor strategy. Your role is pivotal in bridging organizational needs with semiconductor requirements, focusing on AI/ML, real-time operating systems, hypervisors, and silicon accelerator IPs. Your influence will span internal product development, customer engagement, semiconductor vendor partnerships, and the development of custom semiconductors, aligned with our mission.

This is an individual contributor role with global impact reporting to the Head of China Strategic Semiconductors, and will be based in Aptiv's Shanghai office in China, and will interface closely with Aptiv teams in Massachusetts, USA and Germany.
To facilitate collaboration with Aptiv's US/EU teams, this role requires in-office work at Aptiv's Shanghai facility, and able to work across multiple time zones. As a key member of the global Strategic Silicon team within the CTO organization, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of automotive technology.
Key Responsibilities:
• China Strategy Development & Executive Communication: Support development of China semiconductor strategies, and executive-level presentations supporting key decision-making processes, effectively communicating complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders, and securing cross-functional buy-in. Drive China for China and China for Rest of World Semiconductor Strategic Initiatives.
• China Ecosystem Development: Play a crucial role in cultivating and nurturing partnerships within China semiconductor ecosystem, fostering collaborations that enhance our capabilities and market positioning.
• Influence Aptiv Product Roadmap: Utilize expertise to guide Aptiv's internal product roadmap decisions, especially around selecting the right SOC semiconductor platforms, ensuring alignment with strategic semiconductor advancements, organizational goals, and customer needs.
• Customer Engagement: Actively engage in China customer discussions to understand the evolving automaker needs, align China semiconductor strategies with customer expectations, and ensure Aptiv's product offerings exceed market demands.
• Influence Semiconductor Supplier Roadmaps: Engage with China semiconductor vendors to influence and shape their future roadmaps, aligning their offerings with our strategic objectives and technological advancements.
• Thought Leadership: Lead initiatives to generate thought leadership within the semiconductor domain, positioning our organization at the forefront of technological innovation.
• Support Custom Semiconductor Development: Align efforts and strategies with the overarching mission to develop custom semiconductors tailored to our unique requirements and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years' experience in product management, product marketing, corporate/business strategy, management consulting, or related function.
• 3+ years' experience in semiconductor industry.
• Demonstrated ability to work and bring clarity in ambiguous situations, while navigating in a matrix type organization
• Demonstrated ability establishing and managing ecosystem relationships with both suppliers and/or customers
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor technologies, market trends, and industry dynamics.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to develop polished visuals (PowerPoint) and communicate effectively with senior audiences
• Ability to dive deep into advanced technologies, analyze and simplify complex topics to develop strategy.
• Proficiency in English is required.
A successful candidate will also have as many of the following experiences and capabilities as possible:
• Master's degree in business (MBA) or equivalent
• Ability to conduct complex quantitative analyses (e.g. Excel modeling)
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and partners.
• 7+ years of experience in the Semiconductor industry with a focus on key automotive-relevant technologies such as SOCs, MCUs, NPUs, GPUs, Networking, Functional Safety, etc.
• 3+ years of experience in a top-tier management consulting firm or a corporate strategy role with a focus on semiconductor or automotive industry
