Product Owner - Driver Monitoring System

We are looking for a highly organized and methodical Product Owner to lead the development of DMS Team.

We work on new projects for the biggest car makers in the world. We create new solutions to make drivers' and their passengers' life easier and safer.

In more detail we design, develop and maintain software for automotive cameras communication with a vehicle for wide use in the automotive industry. A person who is willing to join us is going to be challenged to solve problems with cutting-edge technology and deliver the highest quality service to our customers. Creativity and self-motivation are essential for this role.

Your Role:

  • Prioritize and refine backlog in cooperation with engineering to design and build the product
  • Communicate with the customer to understand his expectations
  • Analyze technical and business requirements
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics
  • Communicate project status to product management and executives
  • Lead the scrum/team meeting and check the implementation status

  • Manage and coordinate the Development Team structured on the Agile framework
  • Maximizing the value of the product and the work of the Development Team
  • Effectively work on the Development Team backlog, setup priorities, refine and communicate backlog items
  • Develop the product strategy and manage the product roadmap
  • Be responsible of on time delivery for every customer program where the Development team is involved
  • Ensure the technical content and quality of the Development Team backlog according to the defined Features/Functions list
  • Define the resources necessary to deliver the backlog items and work with Engineering Group Manger to ensure that staffing optimization
  • Manage risks on the Development Team Level
  • Plan and track activities according to customer projects milestones
  • Monitor and measure performance in planning and progresses of the Development Team
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders and their needs / requirements
  • Close co-operation with Engineering Project Leader (EPjL) and Software Project Manager (SwPM)

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of software engineering tools supporting the product development process
  • Similar experience as PM in international environment
  • Ability to communicate technical project aspects' with the team
  • Excellent 360-degree communication and teamwork skills
  • Expertise in Scrum-based agile engineering methodology
  • Recommended experience as product owner, systems engineer, software lead, or architect
  • Experience in working with Git, Jira, Confluence or Polarion
  • Certificate in Professional Scrum Product Owner is nice to have

Nice to haves:

  • Experience in C++, Python, Javascript, or other high-level development languages.
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering or science e.g. electronics, telecommunication, robotics, software engineering, computer science, physics
