Your role:

  • Work independently on design tasks to lead the electrical hardware design
  • Review customer specifications.
  • Design and development of LVDS, FPD Link-III circuitry for automotive applications
  • Design and development of Microprocessor and DSP Digital Core, high speed memory and video signals, analog and digital control logic, linear and switching power supplies, for automotive applications
  • Perform worst case analysis and simulations to ensure compliance to customer requirements
  • Support product design reviews
  • Create and maintain schematic and assembly drawings and release within the change management structure
  • Develop and maintain electrical DFMEA
  • Generate electrical information to ECAD for PCB layout and support ECAD designer
  • Support hardware prototype builds
  • Create product verification plan and perform testing
  • Support EMC and validation testing
  • Utilize structured problem solving techniques for test failure resolution
  • Present product design, analysis and testing to customer

Your background:

  • BSEE degree minimum, MSEE preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in electronics design
  • 10+ years' experience in embedded, high speed (> 100 MHz) Micro-Controller design
  • 10+ years' experience in high speed (>100 MHz) digital and serial interface design
  • 10+ years lab equipment experience with power supplies, oscilloscopes function generators and multi-meters
  • Experience with implementing Functional Safety (ISO26262) in Electrical design
  • Familiarity with industry standard environmental and electrical design and test standards
  • Experience designing for, and testing EMC compliance
  • Product design experience with multi-layered board layouts
  • Familiarity with Power Supply design principles
  • Experience using simulation tools
  • Experience with or course work on microcontrollers, digital signal processing, and high speed memory
  • Experience leading a design project through to production launch
  • Familiar with or experience using basic structured problem solving techniques
  • Strong work ethic to support Product team design efforts and timing
  • Ability to multitask across various project activities
  • Ability to work with a global program team
  • Good verbal and written communication skills (English)
