Global Event Marketing Specialist (Troy, MI)

Your Role

The Event Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting the coordinating of both North American and European automotive focused technology events. This role involves support in planning, logistical coordination, performance analysis and overall budget tracking and management to ensure the success of events. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event management, cross channel marketing experience, financial acumen and a passion for the automotive industry.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to plan and execute automotive events
• Coordinate all event logistics from internal on-site customer events to varying scale of tradeshows and exhibits (anything from hotels, exhibitor dashboard, catering, giveaways and more)
• Assist on maintaining detailed event timelines and production schedules, alerting team members on key upcoming deadlines

• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, partners, and vendors to ensure successful event execution
• Skilled at creating ppt presentations on event performance and insights, experience delivering metrics that tell an impactful and actionable message

• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and planning for contingency costs
• Thorough tracking of budget and communication with both internal and external stakeholders to maximize event budget
• Ability to manage internal budgets, PO management and required tools to track budgets

• Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities within the automotive event space as it relates to event execution
• Monitor competitor activities and industry developments

• Utilize event management software and tools to streamline planning and reporting processes
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and tools to enhance event effectiveness

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 0-1 years of internship or professional experience in event planning and analysis, preferably within the automotive industry
• Proven track record of successfully managing and analyzing small scale events from either school internships or part-time work

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to details, organizational skills and project management leadership
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, self-starter and motivated to accomplish objectives
• Detailed budget tracking and financial acumen savvy
• Positive attitude and collaborative spirit
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and event management software (Cvent or other event management registration platform)
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Up to 10% of time / travel required for execution and delivery customer events
