Applied Materials' Environmental Health and Safety Team is searching for an intern to join our team! We are seeking a EHS Intern to join us for a 12-week duration and gain exposure to a variety of processes behind workplace safety.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Compile known sources of injury/incident/inspection data to ensure data is being entered and closed consistently
  • Intern will facilitate communications between multiple parties both internal and external as needed to ensure injuries, near misses, and incidents are logged appropriately
  • Develop metrics and report-outs through existing tracking tools to communicate trends on incidents/injuries, track closure, and metric cycle time.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Student must be pursuing a bachelor's degree program in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or a related field and returning to their studies upon completion of internship.
  • Student must be available to start May/June and end their 12 weeks ~Aug/Sept
  • Demonstrated interest in Workplace Safety via courses, projects, or experience
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication + attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION (OPTIONAL):

  • Program Management academics/experience, including project tracking or visualization tools
  • Experience with databases or spreadsheets (e.g Excel, Google Sheets) or other methodologies/tools which could be used for organizing and reporting on incident data
