Position Description
Job Summary
• Projects typically involve working on existing processes in the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) department. The incumbent will receive instructions on task specifications and constraints as well as direction from the EHS team. However, he/she is expected to meet deadlines set by their manager by prioritizing tasks to meet established time targets. Progress and results are reviewed. Authority to make purchasing decisions is limited. • Opportunity to participate in a plant chemical inventory of all present chemicals for safhear (GAIA) and compare that inventory to the chemicals in the manufacturing facility. • Preparation of GHS labeling and the development of a labeling system based on chemicals used in the plant. • Involvement in updating Lockout Tagout (LOTO) procedures and inputting the updated data into a newly acquired database. • Reviewing and updating OSHA written safety programs.

Required Qualifications
• Highschool Diploma or GED Required
• Some college required - Must be an undergraduate student in good academic standing in Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, or other related field of study.

• This position requires an understanding & utilization of the principles and theories of the discipline and their application that might normally be acquired through a pursuit of an Environmental or Health & Safety field of study. • Applicants should have a general knowledge of OSHA standards and environmental regulations. • Microsoft Suite of product experience including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint knowledge required. • Possesses excellent interpersonal skills in order to assist internal, external, and potential partners. They must be able to operate well in a team environment to sustain ongoing relationships with colleagues.
