Applied Materials' Front End Products (FEP) Department is looking for an intern to join our team in summer 2024! FEP is focused on the thermal, plasma and annealing space on FEOL, MOL and BEOL applications. FEP is known for having low vacuum annealing, world class low ion energy treatment in the FEOL space and atomic oxygen radicals. The position will entail the following:
- Assist with applying data science algorithms to large datasets produced by wafer processing tools
- Assist with laboratory operations, to include: tool preparation, processing wafers, measuring wafers, documentation.
- Lead small data science development projects involving data extraction, cleaning and pre processing data, processing and analysis to provide processing engineering insights

- Use sound statistical techniques like DOEs to quickly determine root cause and action plans. Use of data analysis softwares such as JMP, Applied Pro to effectively analyze data and provide solution paths
Requirements
- Student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in an Engineering discipline with a Data Science specialization or Computer science
- Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
- Experience in Matlab and Python is required
